You're not the only one. They scare me and they annoy me with preaching to me all the time. Like for instance, my mother has became very religious within the past year and a half. So it seems like every conversation we have she flips it to a religious thing. She's always trying to preach to me about studying the bible and changing my life. I don't see what I'm doing so wrong in my life.

not scary persay.......but definitely someone to be weary of. Not what i'd call a close friend. People who are overtly vocal about their beliefs make me think that there's something in there thats not as genuine. Whether they're not being true to me, or to themselves. Sounds terrible to say, but if we're being honest here.....
I think there's absolutely nothing wrong with being very religious. I actually think its a good thing. But I guess I also feel like its a private thing. Not something to be boasted, advertised or raved about. It should be something in your heart that you live your life by...without pretentiousness and its not something that makes you better than others.

No I don't. My brother is very religious and he is the least scary person I know. He has put his full submission in God and in my opinion, is the best person I know. He is selfless, kind, does not have a temper, never looks down on anyone, and is very humble.

No I don't find them scary but have often scared them off , I put up a no soliciting sign on my door and if they knock anyway they get an earful !

yes. try this go into Religion and Spirtuality or Culture and groups on Yahoo and ask a question about God, you will soon find out the meaning of fear, very scary people

Yes. There is this one overly religious person not far from where I live that has a van with quotes "Gays will go to hell", "Repent", "Whoremongers must suffer", "You Shall Burn in the Lake of Fire", and "Donations Accepted."

but it's like impossible to have a normal conversation with them (no offense) because they're always trying to preach to me, and I'm a Christian but I'm not like that religious.
