Normally, the overtime rate in many countries during regular days is 150% and during rest days & holidays also 150% but in some countries the overtime rate during rest days and holidays is 200%, sometimes even more depending on the management in order to encourage people to work overtime even if the labor law is fixing it at a lower rate. In case higher overtime rate is already being practiced for a long time, is it still legal to suddenly change to labor law rate just by issuing a memo?
