Yes, I have had an enema before.
Since I have mobility problems as an affect of my health/medical condition, I've had to try different types of laxatives, and enemas have been one.
It's never been something I've liked, but definitely a need, or I'd get sick from being bound up.
I don't use enemas anymore and I'm glad I don't. I use 2 pills which are laxatives that work overnight. Enemas are no fun, you're right you don't want one.

Perhaps you should have visited Dr. Kellog. He felt that Yogurt enemas 'cleansed the soul'. lol

No, but as a nurse I've given a hundred of them. And what they say is true- it IS better to give than to receive!

When I was little, I had serious constipation problems. I don't remember much about it, but yes I have.
