Try to do anything you can, but remember that you shouldn't get paid too much money because they feed you, clothe you, and you live under their roof which they worked hard to earn...all for free. (:

At 13 you should be able to straighten the main living areas (Kitchen, living room and bath) and keep your room clean. Really I agree with others here. People shouldn't be paid for chores. That being said. You might ask your parents if they have any extra chores that they wouldn't usually ask you to do that they could pay you for. When I was a kid my mother didn't have me do hardly anything and I have really struggled as an adult with not knowing how to do stuff.
Also my girls helped a friend from church by being a Mommy's helper. The mom was home but she paid my girls to watch her kids in the playroom while she worked in another area of the house. It was a great learning thing for them and the mom didn't have to pay a huge amount for their help.
One more thing when you have chores use a timer and they won't seem as hard. Make a game out of it by beating your own time.
Good luck.

Honestly, I don't think children should be paid to do chores, they should help their parents out, it teaches them a strong work ethic responsibility and respect. If you want to earn money get a baby sitting job or deliver newspapers. You can also go to neighbors and see if you can shovel snow, take out their garbage and rake leaves you can also walk dogs for people, this is what I did and I did a pretty good business with repeat customers

It certainly doesnt hurt to get a allowence . But you do not have to be paid for everything you do . Your mother carried you nine months , hopefully and didnt ask for a dime .
Having chores teaches you responsibility , and you dont have to get paid every time you do something .
You should just want to do it ,without always getting paid .Its the right thing to do !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you should do what ever chores your parents tell you to do . you shouldn't ask for money they support you pay your bills buy your food, clothes, shoes, you have a roof over your head . to ask your parents for payment is like your friends charging you to be their friend. whatever your parents think is right they will give you.
