HI chris.
ANSWERING IS WICKED: cos you know how good your own opinion is & am keen to make a point, with Humour when possible! + it is fun to give ratings to other answers. and read them !

Asking is also fun as you EXERCISE YOUR CREATIVITY to get interesting answers, trying to attract the kind of people that are similar to your personality.

I haven't asked a question yet in Y!A and I'm on Level 4. I actually learn more by other answers to the questions. Plus I feel good to answer questions with my opinions and it feels even more like a treat when I get picked as the best answerer.

I think that there is a skill to asking questions to get good answers... that are entertaining...you do get 2 points for an answer..and costs you 5 points to ask providing you choose best answer you get 3 back.

Asking a question? You loose 5 points
Answering a question? You gain 2 points

What do I do?. If I ask a question,and loose my 5 points,I simply answer 2 question,to get 4 points,and vote on an undecided answer,to get 1 point!. (See?),I don't loose any points! (lol)

Could be they are getting more points by answering than asking and they want to get to a higher level. Whatever, either is quite entertaining and if you do have a specific question then you may get a reasonable answer amongst the stupid ones.

Because you get 2 points for answering a question, whereas asking one costs you 5 points.

I agree with you! But if you save up your points that will eventually be awarded by being able to ask unlimited questions!
So good luck - I'm trying to save points but can't resist asking a couple of questions either.

You get points when you answer questions, if you keep asking them your points will soon go down

Sometimes it takes more thinking to come up with a question to ask, than an answer to a question?
