It's not ok to make fun of people because they are in a group, but it is ok to make fun of the actions of a group if they have a negative effect on society.
Muslims subjugate women and have many violent extremists. As a result many people hate them. I don't doubt that there are nice muslims, but I have no problem making fun of their bombings.
As for christians people VERY rarely make fun of them at least in the US. They're a very powerful majority and use that power to strengthen some less then noble causes. Things like "no stem cell research" that could save lives and "Pro death penalty" that invariably kills people. Christians do a lot of not so great things yet when people recognize that they are "making fun of them."
Also I don't know where this BS about all christians being peaceful is. Below I have linked to one attack by Muslim extremists and three by the Christian organizations tell me which seems worse.

Making fun is also okay when it is made with or about Muslims but when it focus the religion, Islam then it makes some other sense and become a bit sensitive in the beliefs of the Muslims.
Just an example: western medias brand the Muslim terrorists as 'Islamic' terrorists which they do so intentionally to humilate the whole Islam and poke the beliefs of all Muslims. But they never branded as Christian Hitlar, Buddhist Mao Tsetung or Aetheist Lenin. Humiliating persons or sections and humiliating the beliefs and values of people is not the same thing.

Surprise, surprise, yet another Christian with a persecution complex. Personally, I think it's ok to make fun of anyone who worships an invisible being who lives in the sky. No matter what they call themselves. And this BS about Christians not killing people is just that BS! Christians, Muslims and Jews have killed billions in the name of their religion and that's a fact!

It is neither O.K. to make fun of Christians nor of Muslims nor of even Jews nor anybody else. Faith is the personal matter of human being. However mimicry can not be done with any religion. Whether it is Christianity or Islam or else.

It's not good to make fun of either but people can do it to Christians without fear that we'll burn down buildings or behead people.
