Second pregnancy. Dr. stripped membranes 1 1/2 days ago. I've been losing a lot of my mucus plug since yesterday morning. Should I expect it to turn pinkinsh/redish/brownish when it's close to the end? Mine has been clear/snotlike since I started losing it. I have lost TONS! At the end of losing your plug, was it redish in color? Just curious if the stripping membranes thing is working for me! Hopefully the bloody show is next. been having a ton of braxton hicks!!!

I did that with my third and lost my plug for like 4 days and the braxton hicks are leading you into the real thing i had my son by the end of the week! Good luck and Congrats!
--mine had like little red vein looking streaks in it, it turned reddish after like the 3rd day or so--any updates?

I lost my mucus plug in the shower and 10 min later my water broke and i had my son the next day. I'm not sure about the color its supposed to be because mine was browish in color and when my water broke it was yellowish brown and when i got to the hospital the said he had had a bowel movement in the uterus and thats why is was that color. I think it is supposed to be a pinkish color. Just make sure its not brownish.

Mine was clear and snotlike also. I never had any pink or brown at all. I lost mine 3 days before I went into labor.

i have been losing mine too for the past 2 days its also clear gooey right? well im waiting for a bloody show too..congrats..i didnt get my membranes stripped though its going all natural..
im 37 wks pregnant and 3 cm dialated or more..not sure how much now til tomorrow.

When they stripped my mucos plug, it was snotty looking, and all the different colors of red you were describing. They did it 2 weeks before I went into labor. Sometimes it helps, sometimes it doesn't. I had cramps that knocked me to my knees. It all depends on your body and your baby. Good luck.

You can begin to lose your mucus plus even 2 weeks prior to labor. I lost mine several days before I had my son and it was mostly clear.

Mine was pink right before I went into labor. I think it's different for everyone though. I didn't even notice it with my first. I wouldn't think too much about it either way. When it's time, you'll know it!

Mucus plugs can vary in color... Mine was reddish brown when it came out. Just relax girly - your little one will be here when it wants to :)
