My opinion:
Pro - if you look good, you just feel good. This doesn't necessarily just mean Plastic Surgery, it could be a nice top or a new hair do, but for some people plastic surgery just works...
Cons- if you don't dish out the money and get a nice surgeon, you may not come out the way you envisioned...
I plan on having some plastic surgery in May! Had a baby and want a reduction and lift.

One big disadvantage is death.
Read up on it. It happens during plastic surgery.

Another, of course, is the pain.
Then there are the stories where people just didn't know when to quit--a nip here, a tuck there, then they no longer look human *coughmichaeljacksoncough*.
