Most liberals hold to the ethic that we are free to exercise our choice unrestrained so long as it does not hurt other people. The only place they can argue with us on is whether or not the unborn are genuine human persons, which takes us right where we want to go--right to the heart of the debate. If the unborn are genuine human beings who are truly harmed by an abortion, then we should not tolerate a woman's right to choose an abortion anymore than we should tolerate a woman's right to choose to kill another human being.
I do not affirm this particular choice because the philosophical and scientific evidence supports the idea that such a choice unjustly terminates the life of an innocent human being. This is a moral evil, and any choice that results in a moral evil against another individual ought to be restricted.
"It's" a human being [a baby] when it's wanted, why is it not a human being [a baby] when it's inconvenient?
Re: Rape or Incest....the facts speak for themselves.
"Less than 1% of all abortions are due to rape or incest. Furthermore, since conception doesn’t occur immediately after intercourse, pregnancy can be prevented in nearly all rape cases by medical treatments including the morning after pill (MAP).
Nearly all the women interviewed in a recent survey said they regretted aborting the babies conceived via rape or incest. Of those giving an opinion, more than 90 percent said they would discourage other victims of sexual violence from having an abortion.
Finally, if you found out today that your biological father had raped your mother, would you feel you no longer had a right to live?" Citizen Magazine; October 2000

There is no 100% research that shows whether life starts at conception or not until birth. Half the doctors and scientists say one way the other half say the opposite. So if the ones that say abortion is okay and we have these babies and give them a chance through adoption we've nothing to answer for. But what if one of them comes up with rock solid proof that these "fetus'"feel pain and are living humans from the time of conception? How do we go back and undo all the killings that have been done. So you believe in choice? Choose to be responsible on taking precautions on having sex. On the outside chance that a pregnancy happens think of the baby that has no choice or the couples who are desperate for children to love who also DON'T have a choice. Would it be hard to have an abortion? Something you have to live with the rest of your life? Yes it would. Would it be hard to take 9 months out of your entire life to carry a baby and give it to someone who would love it forever and forever be greatful to you for giving them this gift? I'm sure that it would be hard as well but knowing the gift you're giving to that child and the couple I think it'd be much easier to live with and God Bless the people who commit that most unselfish act. I am still waiting for that gift as are so many others.

i don't think that all abortions are necessary however rape is a hugh issue and if a woman is raped and gets pregnant by her attacker then i feel she has the right to abort. i don't think that all women should have the right to abort a baby but there are instances where it may be better for all involved (including the fetus). i have a Friend that works at planned parenthood and i can tell you that there is a bigger issue now with the morning after pill that is making abortion practically unnecessary. that should be banned from all except rape victims. there are teens and preteens that are having sex and then running into planned parenthood to take the pill and by law they have to give it to them. not sure if i answered your question or opened a new one but i feel that as a woman we have the right to decide but only if it is necessity. good luck in life. =)

Hello abortion is legal. I am for abortion for many different reasons and even though i haven't had one if i did want one then i would not care what people like you think/thought.
I would have an abortion for the following reasons:
1)If i were raped
2)If the fetus had something horribly wrong with it and would only suffer a horrible life.
3)If my life were in danger and i was told i would die if i followed through with the pregnancy then i would abort because i would not want to leave my son motherless.
4)If i did not or could not handle another kid.
It is not your decision on why people have abortions. If you seem to think it is murder then how can you support the troops that kill people everyday? Abortion is a medical procedure not shooting someone in the head like the troops do.
It comes down to this:
My Body
My Sexuality
My Uterus
My Vagina
My Morals
My Life
My Choice
Not Yours
If it was a baby then they would not call it a fetus. A fetus is not a living, breathing human being until it is born and breathing on it's own.
Have you asked someone that has had an abortion how hard it was for them to have it done?
Do you know there are so many teenage girls hiding their pregnancies then deliverying them just to kill them? I read a story last night about this teenage girl that threw her baby to a dog and the dog mangled & killed it. I would rather see abortions be done than to hear about another live baby thrown in the trash, out the window or on the road.
You are a man so how can you know anything about pregnancy and decisions that come with it?

1st of all i thinks it's up to that person to chose weather or not they should get abortion! I'm pro choice and i think it's wrong to put other people down for getting or having one. I mean everyone says abortion is bad and no one should get one but what if you got raped and got prego? Would you keep that baby? I don't think anyone would. It's so easy to put other people down if they have never had to make that choice

Why should man have the right to tell women what to do with their body? Anyway, because it's their body. Women should have the right to decided what they want to do with their body. Wether it's right or wrong, for what reason, it's private.

The same reason she should have the right to kill anyone else. In other words, she shouldn't!
