I assume you mean the surface area of a rectangular prism (a.k.a. box). A square is a 2-D object with equal dimensions of width and length and no height . But you have a 3-D object with three different dimensions.
Anyway, you can figure the area of the top and bottom:
Top = W x L
Bottom = W x L
Top and Bottom = 2 ( W x L )
And the area of the sides:
Left = H x W
Right = H x W
Left and Right = 2 ( H x W )
And the area of the front and back:
Front = L x H
Back = L x H
Front and Back = 2 ( L x H )
So you add them all up and you get:
Total surface area = 2 ( W x L + H x W + L x H )

To find the surface area of the box, assume the length, width, and height are represented by L, W, and H, respectively.
Two of the sides have an area of L*W
Two more sides have an area of L*H
And the last two sides have an area of W*H
Assuming that this is a closed cube, the surface area would be:
2(L*W) + 2(L*H) + 2(W*H)
If the cube is not closed, most likely the top, then one of the sides would be ommited from the final calculation, most likely one of the L*W.

of a square box? it is a cube. since it has 6 sides, take the side and square it to find the area of one side of the cube and u can times 6 to find the total surface area. eg if the length is 5cm, the surface area is (5x5)x6=150cm^2

the surface area of a box is 6 * Side² (for uniform cube)
for a non-uniform cube youre going to have to calculate it lik this:
2 * Side A * Side B + 2* side B * Side C + 2 * Side C * Side A

There are 2 ways to do this:
You can take a side to the 3rd power of it is a true cube
You can do Hieght x Width x Length
These 2 are basically the same things, but which ever one is easier
hope i helped!
