Waffles are useless. Waffle irons are good.
You can Iron your checkered shirts, to get a double patron
Great way to warm up cold hands.
Great weapon against burglars, they never see it coming, when you offer to bake them some waffles. (then hit them really hard)
Great for cooking soup, pasta, grilled cheese, marshmalllows, Trust me I saw this happening, but you can throw away the iron after the marshmallows.

My favorite is to use a nice fresh hot waffle for the shortcake under strawberries. Whipped cream on top and they are to die for.

My youngest son is on a gluten free diet (can't have wheat or wheat products) and finding bread that isn't nasty has proven to be difficult. They do make decent gluten free frozen waffles though so we toast those and use them to make sandwhiches for him, he loves them.
