Funny, not one answer here is in support of our current drug laws haha. That should be a clue to those who write the policies. In reality, so much blood has been shed in the quest for drug profits that I think it is clear to any level headed person that our approach here is totally flawed. The crime that has sprung out of these policies is horrendous and completely unacceptable so yes, I am in favor of legalization....Wont it be a beautiful day when all these amoral degenerate drug cartels wake up and realize that their money/power has been taken away from them by the same government they have so long been at war with...ahhh, a gorgeous day. But to answer your question, no I wouldnt change any of my attitudes or actions concerning drugs, I'm clean now and would remain that way.

i have already smoked marijuana (a lot). how much marijuana i smoke depends on my personal desire; the law has nothing to do with it. so, if it were to be legalized, my habits would not stray from how they were immediately before it was legalized.

i personally think that the more people substituting alcohol with marijuana, the better. it is far less destructive to families and lives. if marijuana was legalized, i guarantee you that within 20 years its consumption would be as widespread as that of alcohol. it would be a good thing, too. i've never heard of anyone smoking a joint and getting in a bar fight or killing someone because they were too stoned to drive.

i think that marijuana should at the very least be decriminalized. in the states, prohibition is less of a safety issue than it is in the united kingdom (no soapbar in the states), but i think that is just by luck, because it could very easily be that way over here. if it is legalized, without a doubt there needs to be an age limit set in place for purchase and consumption. also, there would need to be extensive legislation set in place regarding agricultural production, commercial distribution, etc., mainly to prevent agribusiness and big pharma from co-opting and patenting strains, selling it at outrageous prices, putting it into commercial products, processing it, refining it, making it exceedingly difficult for people to grow it in their own homes if they so choose, etc.

If marijuana was legal I would smoke it and not be angry if others did it, too. It should be legalized. It would help the economy if it was legal.

1. Smoke it.

2. To busy eating, learning or playing on computer/tv to be angry, to much trouble, rater mellow out. Respect is earned not given.

3.Should be decriminalized, prescribed in small quantities, as minor moral consequences compared to alcohol, Helps the poor! it distributes money. Serious implications$ for allot if its legalized, including substitution by dealers to bigger badder substances that the government doesn't sell. Economically it makes for near perfect redistribution of wealth. Whats hurting me is the quality while everybody else says what they think my lungs aren't getting any better.(i smoke cigarettes to).

Note: In Canada 85% of the cost to society of all drugs is from legal sources namely tobacco and alcohol.

Note: To reduce cigarette use: we should prescribe it and new smokers should have to apply to earn the right to smoke. Like all other prescriptions we have to reduce exposure.

marajuana is not nearly as harmful as nicotine, which the federal govt SUBDIZES.

the war on marajuana is not based on fact or common sense, but rather politicians desire to 'look tough on crime.'

so we clutter up our jails with users of drugs - victimless crimes.

we have our police departments waste their time and resources on stuff like this while there are violent criminals out there all over the place.

also the revenue on taxing legalized and controlled marajuana would be very much worth the time and effort it would take to control it.

i don't think little kids should be able to smoke pot - it should be controlled just the way alcohol is now.

it would also take billions of dollars a year out of the pockets of organized crime - this is the only thing we really know for sure about legalizing pot.

this sort of makes you wonder who is funding these dishonest politicians campaigns...

I would not smoke it. I hae ried it and it really didnt do anything for me. As far a legalization, I am not sure. I think the taxes that would be collected could be a good thing but I am aftraid it would just become the next big thing that we would have to pay for to get people off of it. Like booze or Cigeretts.

I would smoke it, but not all the time. If others smokes, OK. It needs to be legalized so the government can tax it

Prohibition has nothing to do with my decision not to smoke marijuana, so I wouldn't smoke it if it were legal.
I wouldn't be angry if others did, that's their choice and they're not harming anyone.
And legalisation is definitely a good idea.
