My friends and I were debating over the rollercoaster The Anaconda. She thinks the ride is based off the movie but I disagree.

You win! She's wrong, I thought the same thing the first time we went... I've been to King's Dominion several times and my entire family LOVES The Anaconda. I have never noticed anything about the movie in or near the ride. It's just a ride named after a huge snake, probably because of the shape of the coaster track. It slithers and twists and loops, like a large snake attacking. Fun! We will continue to ride this one multiple times each time we visit.

Anaconda was built in 1991, the movie was released in 1998 (I think), there is no relation, if there was, there would be theming towards the movie.

Note: Kings Dominion is no longer a Paramount Park, it is now owned by Cedar Fair.

Well. We have Kings Island out here. all the kings parks are based on the same thing. They are brother parks. Its all the same. Every ride is based off a movie. I live down the street, and the place is AWESOME. :)

all of the paramount "king's" parks have beene bought by the cedar point company. hopefully thid means that hannah-barbara land will return to king's island instead of having it be the nickelodeon central...anyway, i went to the one in toronto and it sucked...big time.
