The vista drivers (drivers are the programs that help printers work) haven't been released yet, so your printer wont work with the CD installation you got with the printer. What you have to do is go to www.lexmark.com then click on the tab that says drivers and downloads. then select your type of printer, then select your printer model. Check this page frequently, and eventully the software your printer needs to work on vista will be posted there.

I easily have not in any respect beloved lexmark printers. i'd bypass out and get a clean one, or possibly search for a vista motive force. try that first. bypass to the lexmark web page and examine out to hit upon a vista motive force on your style volume.

There was an article in the news a day or two ago about that. Seems that's one of the many glitches with Vista. It isn't compatible with many existing peripherals. It also isn't compatible with many software programs. Seems to have many drawbacks and few advantages as compared to older Windows Systems.
