I don't know what religion you are referring to. My only experience is with Christianity so I will answer your question from that perspective. Christians pray for people's souls that is true. Damnation is strictly God's domain. Some Christians may warn others that they are risking damnation but they have no power to condemn anyone to hell.
Of course, I speak of what the Christian religion basically teaches. I cannot account for what it's practitioners may or may not do on their own. For the most part I believe Christians are motivated by the desire to help or save other people.

This is a Question that has Plagued me for most of my life Christians say if you don't acept Christ into your life you are damned and if you are not christened you are damned so what about unborn babies are they all in hell and if you leed an evil life an confess on the death bed your ok or worse if you leed a good life help others and are generally good you go to hell because you don't believe in God/Jesus?

Because that is the way the religious lunatics believe, anyone who does not believe in a non existant god, goddess, or whatever goes to another non existant place while they ascend to yet another non existant place.It is all a lot of tripe and fit only for morons and Americans to believe.

we're not condemning just informing. We try to save your soul but we only have the power to prey for your soul ( and that alone will not get you into heavan) so we inform you that you will be going to hell unless you change your sinful ways.

I dont think it is up to us to condemn. people condemn themselves. we can only say what we think but even in that we may be wrong and therefore condemn ourselves.
