It was formed during the 1800's at some time, I know that for sure, but could someone give me an exact date please?

And I think that 1931 was when a regiment was formed, not the original black watch.

The original six companies were raised in 1725 with another four following in 1739 with the regiment having it`s first muster in 1740 under Colonel the Earl of Crawford near Aberfeldy ,a monument was created in commemoration.
And shushin ? Wrong Black Watch yours is a pale imitation of a proud Scots regiment.

there was an army before the black watch in 1800s some time not sure when thow but then it got renamed to black watch
