I've never been or visited Tennessee. I have a trip coming up for my first "tour". I have an excellent employment offer and I need to decide whether or not to move the family. My primary concern is the school system, Elementary and Junior High. I appreciate the input, thanks!

My offer is in Gallaway TN. What cities are nearby that would be great to live in family minded?

Tennessee is pretty... AND there's no state income tax.
I would say it depends on where in TN your job offer is. The schools here are no better or no worse than anywhere else in the US.
I've lived here for 6 years, in the 5th largest city in the state... the cost of living is 87%..... so, 13% below the national average.
It's a safe place, and friendly (unless your job offer is in memphis, in which case... check the statistics before you accept the job!)

East Tennessee is one of the best places in the US to live. Great schools, low crime rate, and very reasonable cost of living, not to mention how beautiful Tennessee is.
