I have two african dwarf frogs and one of them is bloated. it DOES NOT look like dropsy, since there is only bloating on one side of his belly (it looks for like a tumor or a cyst or something like that). i have no idea what it actually is but it seems to be filled with a substance that is lighter than the water since he is always floating up(sometimes against his own will...he will try to cling on to something to prevent floating up). actually i don't know if it is a he or a she since sexing the animals is very hard. other than the bloating and the floating he is acting normally. he is very active and has a health apetite. (i feed using a syringe so i know how much they are each eating). i don't know what to do. should i use aquarium salt with stress coat? maroxy? should i just wait and see???? please helpp!!!

I have an african clawed frog that sometimes gulps in too much air and floats in the tank, but he eventually releases air bubbles form his mouth and is fine.

It sounds like something medical, could just be some sort of cyst that needs to be drained. Try taking him to a Veterinarian (sounds silly) Or waiting a couple days and see if it gets better. Usually at pet shops and the like you can check on the aquarium bottles. If its like my area there will be hundreds of bottles. Look and see if anything there treats the frogs, or even ask the people working at the pet shop what to do.
