I like the place where I work, I like the people, I like going to work there, it is low stress but the pay is low. I have had a few job offers that pay at least 50% more, but will have significantly more stress. Would you stay at the job you like or move on to the better paying job? My current company does not pay well nor does it give good raises.

that depends on how you want to live
do you make enough money to pay your bills, plan for the future, live to a standard that you are satisfied with? if so, then stay.
however, if another job will pay more, offer better benefits, allow you to live more comfortably, then think about a change.
let me caution you though: i know from personal experience that one of the worst feelings in life is NOT having a job you like and dreading going to work.
as you can see, there are many pros and cons. you don't mention your age, and that is a big factor too.
bottom line is you have to do what you have to do.
good luck!

I would look for a job that has characteristic of both. You need to be happy. No one else will put that first unless you do it yourself. Before I make any job change, I ask myself is this really worth more money? Furthermore, if the money is more, is it in the same city or different? Don't be fool with more money in a different city. Remember, focus on your life goal. If you don't have one, find it first. You will make better deicisons once you remove the money factor. No amount of money is worth it if you are miserable. Unless you allow it to happen.

the same happen to me, i thought i'll be happy having the run of the place, been working for 15 years, thought i'll continue working till i retire, there's once where i didn't have a raised for 4 years in a row, no prospect of promotion, in another word 'a dead end job', then i got retrenched got paid 1 week per year of serviced, i've been short changed, other company is paying 1 month per year for severance, anyway, got another job, enjoying every minute of it, the company appreciates the effort i've put in, recognised the the potential, nice collegues, getting double in pay, couldn't be happier, a word of caution, be prepared to work hard & smart, try to conform, knows when to speak up & shut up, be smart & don't try to be smart, people likes smart people not smart alecs, be humble, nothing venture nothing gain, good luck

I guess you have to weigh out your options.....do you want more money or not. To me I'd take the money and stress. A good day shopping always relieves the stress.

If you don't really need the money stay with the job you enjoy.

It depends. If you can afford things you need with your current wages, then stay where you are! It's better to be happy, don't you think?
