some will say "Booo" but in my investigations they do what sounds like "WoooooooOOOOoooOOOoWwwwooooooOOOOOOOOO"

well they can make those noises, they can move things and manipulate (i guess is the word i'll use) electrical forces around to make vocal sounds, which are recorded on EVP's.
go to the site below they have a section on their forum of EVP (electronic voice phenomenon) and the ghostly sounds!

Whatever you are hearing or think you are hearing cannot possibly be a ghost or spirit. In order for something to make a sound it must cause vibrations in the air that can be picked up by your ear. The only way the ghost could do so is to have some sort of mass. If it is made of matter, energy or has any other physical property it is by definition of the physical realm not the spiritual realm. If there are ghosts, spirits or any such thing, they could not make any sound, refract any light, cause any sensation or produce any smell. Your senses only respond to physical stimulation.
If you heard a sound of any sort it was made by something physical. There is no way it could have been a ghost.

its damn true , ghosts make noice , once is stayed in a hostel ,which has much negativity . I stayed their for a week . I can see some psychological disturbances in me day by day . on the seventh day , i was alone in that room , at mid night , i heard some ghosthly sound that was approching me from the bathroom , it was increasing its volume slowly . that was most scariest thing in my life . whenever i remember that situation , i get goose bumps. Their is no need of mass to make sound , they use eletrcial forces to make it as vocal sounds . cheers to patriot of the wasteland.

I really don't believe in "ghosts", but I do believe in spirits contacting us. I have had conversations with my mom after her death, my father, and others close to me when they died. They did not approach me with a boo or wooo, so I guess if you really want to know, watch some old Scooby Doo cartoons and listen to their ghost sounds.
