Would you rather be in a tornado or in a hurricane? What do you think will cause more damage?

I would rather be in a hurricane because in a whole, it will cause less damage than if a tornado touches down.

If a tornado is heading in your direction dead-on, I think the damage would be fairly worse. Direct hits from tornadoes can leave homes and communities in complete ruins. A hurricanes damage is also extensive, but I don't think a dead on hit from a hurricane would cause as much destruction as a dead on hit from a tornado. A lot of a hurricanes destruction comes from the storm surge. While that causes a lot of damage, it's not as bad as a whole house blown into pieces by a tornado.

So I think I would rather be in a hurricane than a tornado.

id rather be in a tornado because if youre in a hurricane they can cause tornadoes.

hurricanes are just as damaging as tornados in one area but hurricanes form out to sea and need water to keep going and will eventually lose energy as soon as they hit land
