Other than tons of Advil, read this short story! Once in high school I had such bad cramps I thought I would die. We were doing aerobics in gym that week (back in the 80's) and I begged and pleaded with my teacher to let me sit it out. She was a stone face and insisted I do the workout. I thought she was the devil but dammit I did the freakin workout. I'll be darned if after 30 minutes of working out my cramps were completely gone and never came back. I've used this trick for years. Its agony to start the workout, but after a few minutes they are GONE and don't come back. Good luck!

Over-the-counter pain medicines, such as ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin and others), can be used as needed and are very effective.
