are there alot of blisters and lumps? how big are they? if they are small open sores it could be a skin infection. if they are rather large and circular with hair loss and it looks reddish around that area it could be a cyst (which can be removed by taking him to a vet and draining the cyst) hamsters are very prone to cysts and they usually get them from small cuts on their bodies, however it is very usual for a hamster to get more than one cyst at a time. i am guessing since you said it has blisterS and lumpS it is some sort of skin infection. i would recommend you take you hamster to a vet that specializes in small animal care (call the vet office before and ask them if they deal with small animals) and take him there as soon as possible!
