I think some women don't realize it, but they really would benefit greatly from having a loving dominant male figure in their life. Because of women's fluctuating hormones and mood swings they need a man to guide and protect them. Someone to take charge and tell them no. Someone to lovingly correct their behavior when they are being moody. Someone to lay down the law when necessary. Some women don't even know what they want half the time. That is where the man needs to keep them focused. And isn't is interesting how many daddys' girls there are? Women look up to loving dominant men in their life because it is what they need. Later, when they get married they need their husband to take over that role.

I smiled when I read ur question --it' so endearing. Some women definitely need a caretaker lol but some (like me) will never be dominanted or controlled by a man or any other living human being --unless I'm captured and in prison-God forbid.I have always had to be the one to figure out all the answers and actually make a living on the jobs. my husband now has had a stoke and cannot help me at all. I just wonder how long that guidance and loving correctness would turn into bitching and screaming? 6 months, a years, or sooner? I've been married 11 years and believe me it is not easy but if I wasn't constitionually strong I would be dead.

No I don't agree. I feel this is a very Western religion's idea of women. Western Religion (Judaism, Christianity, and Islam) do their damnedest to repress women out of the men's own fears of them, to protect the fragile male ego. I feel it's an outdated belief today and many women would be offended by it.

No - I think that young girls need a male father figure, but I think that most women benefit greatly from become a dominant. This struggle within them, learning to reject societal pressure, and male figures who repress them, will help them succeed in school, business, and within their marriages.

I beg to differ... women do not need dominant males... my partner and i are equal, one or the other can take lead role so to speak why does it have to be the man just because I'm a woman...oh no that will not not work buddy.

I couldn't disagree any more wholeheartedly.
Some men don't realize it, but women do not need a DOMINANT figure in their life, either female or male. Women have hormones and so do men, and they do fluctuate which may or may not affect them. Not all people have mood swings, be they female or male.
Males can and are just as subject to needing correction, despite the cause of their being wrong.
Much to your dismay, I'm sure you know in your heart of hearts that females can lay down the law as surely as males, if not more so. Some people never know what they want, and that goes for both sexes.
Having a penis does not constitute having focus for all.
Daddy's girls, momma's boys -- WHO CARES?
What a supposition to make: Women look up to dominant men in their life because it is what they need? My mother raised 5 children on her own, and all are self-sufficient.
No woman is in need of a husband. Men are like thermal underwear, nice to have, but totally unnecessary.

I disagree; perhaps someone in a harmonious relationship that can give advice but not in a domineering role - that's just sick. I know plenty of men that can't make a decision to save their lives and need women there holding their pale little hands, so don't make this a feminist issue.

Everyone needs a loving individual in their life. Dominant--I don't think so. Am I Daddy's little girl? No way! I remember my dominating father beating his way into my mother. I remember later on, when she had enough and was about to leave, my dominating father holding me up by the arm, dangling me and threatening to beat me unless she acquiesced to his wishes.--NO THANK YOU MR. DOMINANT.
Who is to reign you in when your testosterone is out of control? What makes you think that women need to be controlled. And if the woman, herself, does not know what she wants, how do you know what she wants?
