First of all, there is a good chance that I'm pregnant. Since yesterday, I have been feeling like I need to urinate every 5 minutes but when I go it's only a small amount, and sometimes it hurts. My urine is an orangish color also. Does anyone know what this means? I've been drinking water nonstop so I don't think I'm dehydrated. I have been taking 400mg of folic acid every day, but I'm not sure if that has anything to do with it? Please give some advice?

It sounds like you have a urinary tract infection.

This is the info i got off Web MD:

You may have an infection if you have any of these symptoms:

You feel pain or burning when you urinate.
You feel like you have to go often, but not much urine comes out when you do.
Your belly feels tender or heavy.
Your urine is cloudy or smells bad.
You have pain on one side of your back under your ribs. This is where your kidneys are.
You have fever and chills.
You have nausea and vomiting.

Call your doctor right away if you think you have an infection and:

You have a fever, nausea and vomiting, or pain in one side of your back under your ribs.
You have diabetes, kidney problems, or a weak immune system.
You are older than 65.
You are PREGNANT.

PLEASE CALL YOUR DOC RIGHT AWAY.

Good Luck!

You have a urinary track infection. You need an antibiotic. Go to urgent care.

If you drink less water than anything else you consume during the day, your pee will be darker. The clearer, the healthier. Drink water, take cranberry supplements and get an antibiotic like Macrobid or Augmentin from your doc. You can also take AZO standard to eliminate the pain temporarily, unless you are pregnant. Get it under control before it goes into a kidney infection.

Orange urine means that there is blood in your urine. This may happen later in pregnancy. (I have been having this on and off for the last month) This is also the reason that you feel you have to pee every 5 minutes. You prob have a bladder, kidney, or Urinary Tract infection. And may or may not be pregnant. You need to see your Dr. as soon as possible.

I've never heard of orange urine as a symptom of pregnancy. I assume you are newly possibly pregnant, and the need to urinate doesn't really start for a couple of week pregnant. I think you should call your doctor, pain while peeing sounds like a urinary tract infection or a bladder infection. Give them a call!

Sounds to me more like a UTI (uniray track infection), they can start as a minor annoyance with the urge to go all the time and hardly anything comming out when you do go, also strong smelling urine is also a sign of a UTI- you said it's dark in color which leads me to believe it's prob. strong smelling, burning when you go. You should get to the Dr. or urgent care b/c they can lead to mich bigger problems if left untreated.

Could be a urinary track infection (UTI) or a yeast infection, I would have it checked out as soon as possible cuz if its is a UTI it will only get worse, and i know that from experience. I have the same symtoms when i get UTI's, which i got a lot at the beginning of my pregnancy.

Sounds like you might have a urinary tract infection. You should probably call your doctor tomorrow. In the meantime, drink a lot of cranberry juice, that may help.
