As a work of cinema, this movie is so so. There are some inconsistencies in the script. It does achieve its ambition of being rustic in feel - and i liked that. Acting was okay - and I thought Saif and Boman Irani were superb. Amitabh Bachchan is beyond comparison these days so the only thing to write about him is what is left for him to do. Vidya Balan is just sooooo heavenly - such beauty - to die for!
My main grouse is that this movie sets a very bad example and really maligns such a great person in Indian History (or mythology - if you choose). Eklavya the person (the real one) was synonmous with making eternally supreme the realtionship between student and teacher and the giving "going beyond the call of duty" an unparrelled definition. This film is not about that all. This Eklavya was a failure, in the end showed he was of no moral backbone, and the film essentially supported the "getting away with it" theme. Such simple figments of imaginations should not be be allowed to misuse such historically important names and potentially totally mislead a generation who don't really know what real devotion, absolute surrender, and real suffering for a greater good is all about. For this reason, I was very disappointed by this film. I might as well have seen "Garam Masala" again - at least that does not pretend or mislead.

Eklavya Movie sucks but music rocks! one of the very boaring movie i watched.. but when compared to nishabd eklavya is foremost better...

Eklavya is a very boooooooooooring movie....n the reason is bcoz it's boring .......now-a-days people are usually not interested in such kinda movies.......no1 wants to know abt history

wel .. u cant say tht as a bad movie .. its short n kinda draggin n but the story n acting.. spcly by saif n amitabh were superb.. so al over it's just a one ttime see......

i thought it was a good movie...some people were like no don't waste ur money to go see it in theaters...but i enjoyed it...it was something new...none of that love drama...it nice
loved amitabh's and saif's acting
i recommend it

To me it was great movie. And wat a relief, no songs and just below 2 hrs. Actors was superb especially AmitabhJi and Saif Ali Khan.
