Hi,

To be honest, you are probably not going to find a job working from home. Any opportunities you find that require a start up fee or money up front is a scam don't get sucked in!!

I encourage you to immediately put these jobs out of your mind. Here are some of my tips when looking for a job....

Networking - Register at your local Unemployment Office (you don't need to be on unemployment to register for their assistance). They often will have networking groups on a regular basis. They also are a good source for the jobs that never show up in the paper or online.

Check your local paper -- In many cases the papers classified are now online.

Search Smart Online -- If you don't have a lot of time, spend most of your time at sites that aggregate the job feeds from several job search engines. Prominently these include indeed.com and thingamajob.com.

Organization -- I use a free online application that allows you to track your ads, jobs you apply for, send or print mail merged correspondence, and track your job search history. This site is jobsearchlog.com
I invite you to check it out and you'll be able to keep track of what you apply for.

Good Luck,

Karen

Their are alot of companies out there who are just trying to make a fast buck off some poor slob who doesn't know any better.

There are lots of them out there and it may be hard to decipher the real ones from the fake. I know, I've run into quite a few in my search.

Not all of them are trying to cheat you. Some actually have a good program, but it's a little harder to start than what they will tell you.

Don't let that deter you from your goal.

I know how frustrated you feel because I am in the same boat as you, trying to find my dream business as well.

You need to research home based companies and get as much information about the companies as you can before you make a decision as to which one you go with.

Many will tell you that their program is better than everyone else's, that's not necessarily true. Most of the programs that work, work just as well as any other.

I have a suggestion for you that I'm not willing to share here.

If I have your permission, I will send you an e-mail telling you what I've been looking at the past three days, that might work for you.

I'm not a sales person. I'm not working for any of these companies and I won't ask you to give me any money, now or in the future. I'm just someone who has read and heard it all, and is willing to share with you alone.

Let me know if I have your permission to send you a letter.

If you are offered a job too good to be true, just be careful. Request a meet up and understand the company well and ask for an interview face to face. So you can observe what is going on. Talk to other employees of that company if possible. Because every job that is offered to you must have an employment contract, whereby you sign on it. Ask the person, is this a job or your own business? If it is a business, they don't pay you. So you don't sign on anything. You find your own clients and earn by commissions or small profits gained from resell transactions. However they may provide you with training and ensure your business is a success..

The best I've seen by far is Chacha:

http://news.com.com/2100-1038_3-6109782.html

Basically, they pay you to help people with internet searches. You can get paid up to $10 per active search hour and its free to join. However, to become a chacha guide you'll need to be invited by someone that already is one, so if you're interested in trying this job opportunity please let me know and I can send you an invitation. You MUST be able to provide quick and relevant information and be knowledgeable in your areas of expertise.
