When i give the hibernation command on my Sony Vaio,it hibernates only for a flash and then comes back on????

You have a setting, such as the LAN card, that has the setting wake up on usage, or a program that triggers wakeup.

Try using standby, or power off. I have stopped using Hibernation myself.
