MDY is just in America, in Europa is that logically DMY :)

The first way is used in USA. In Europe it's Day/ Month/ Year!!! It's just a different way people got used to since they were young.

It's only americans that do it like that. Lord knows why. In europe it's day month year which seems much more logical.

This just depends on the region you live. USA has MDY format and thus most of the software produced there are using this format of date. but they also have the option to change the format to DMY if your region has that kind of setting.

I often use year-month-day in the format YYYYMMDD in file names when I want to keep things in chronologic order.

Sometimes it is arranged differently...say if you live in the UK.
