It depends. Married couples with families tend to have a better time than single people. It's quiet, low crime (all reported crimes are actually published in the paper every Thursday along with all the fire calls. Crime tends to be cars getting broken into.), everything that you would want in Houston (with a few exceptions)is out here. Traffic isn't bad, most days it takes 30 min, but I work in The Woodlands, so highway traffic isn't a problem for me.

My suggestion is not to move there. I know several people who have built and bought homes in the Woodlands and, eventually, they do not like the area but it takes a few months of living there to determine the level of dislike a person has for the place.

Better to move closer to downtown Houston, if possible. All these satellite yuppie communities on the periphery of Houston are not really desirable places to live.

Dont let them scare you- the traffic is not that BAD. Its awesome out here. Theres anything you need probably within 2 miles of where youre in The Woodlands. And plus- they just opened up those two new bars by market square that are awesome!

Why not, if you want to? Nice area, low crime, has everything you need... the only worry is traffic on 45.
