Because of our buttocks...the fuller the buttock, the shorter the dress at the back.
If a buttock is flat, then the dress won't be shorter at the back.

[edit] Think of a pregnant woman. Although maternity dresses are longer in front to ''even'' the front and back, most pregnant women still find the front shorter than the back because of the size of their protruding stomachs.

There is some large protrusian in the back that holds the rear part of the dress up. Get rid of the bulge, and the problem will be no more.

Its because of your bum or maybe your just picking dresses with shorter ends in the back!

If your bottom protrudes more than your bust line then it will be shorter at the back and vice versa. It can be fixed by getting a size bigger so it fits you better.

You're wearing it in too small a size. The dress should be even back and front or longer in the BACK. So you need to get a bigger size because either your breasts are pulling it down from the front or your butt is lifting it up in the back. And believe me, it's not an attractive look, it looks trashy.

I think that skirts tend to either look kind of trashy or cheap if they are tight and short, or they are really just the ordinary jean skirts that are not necessarily sexy.
