Almost all "new initiatives" dictated from legislators and/or administrators is "reaction education." The most prevalent today is the No Child Left Behind Act (NCLB).

teacher man seems to have nailed it

i thought that it also included revisionist history and focused on the perspectives that had been not represented for years instead of just the vanilla verson of history

now we try for a multiple perspective history and not just the winning, losing, white, minority, or christian perspective.
