This is a common dilemma. Really you have to weigh up what's most important, but my advice would be to go where you feel the most comfortable. It's important to choose a good university and Sheffield is very close to the Peak District. I wouldn't let the money sway you too much. No matter what you do you'll end up in debt, so wouldn't sacrifice other opportunities for a bit of money. I think it's most important to feel comfortable where you go, so I would recommend going on open days or just going there yourself to have a wander around the city and university because that is the best way you'll know. When I was choosing, I thought that I'd choose one university that was really highly ranked, but when I went there on an open day I didn't like the town or campus at all. I knew that if I spent three years there I'd be unhappy because although the course was great, I couldn't imagine myself fitting in.

Good luck with whatever you choose.

Apparently:
-Portsmouth
-Imperial London
-Canterbury

I'd go with Cardiff if it means you'll come out with less debt.

Why not try ringing some of the places you'd like to work and asking which uni they think the most of?
