Why are girls so uncomfortable with there body's & what can a guy do to make them fell better?

My wife and I have been married for 1 yr and she is still uncomfortable with her body no matter how beautiful i tell her she is and she is the most beautiful girl i have ever seen

Girls start realizing at about 3 that they have to have the "perfect" body, whatever that is, when they get their first Barbie doll. After that, they have the example of Ashley Olsen, Paris Hilton, and Nichole Richie. Then in the movies, you never see the hot actors in a romantic situation with Roseanne Barr or Kirsti Alley. Only these actresses that MIGHT be a size 1. Don't forget about all the commercials and infomercials out there for all the weight loss pills and exercises equipment. Losing weight is being shoved down our throat and we are told that it's real ugly to be anything bigger than a size 1. Your wife, me and a couple million other women need to have our self-esteem brought back up to a normal level. Hollywood needs to hire "realistic" looking women.

Girls and women are shy about their bodies b/c parents, family, friends, peers, and society says we should be perfect in every way. But what it is to be truly perfect, is that you realize that we are all perfect in the sight of Spirit and that we would be mighty boring if we where all what every one else was.
With that said, try to get her to start telling herself each and everyday while looking at herself in a mirror, I am beautiful in every way, and tell her to tell herself I LOVE YOU. This is how I over come the same problem.

Let her buy herself nice clotes and makeup too. If she can choose her clothes this may help build her self confidence as well.
