It isn't the size that matters
It's how you use it.
Have I answered the right question here?

the bigger the better! 14.1 it's a bit too small for me, I have a 15 or 17 or something (dont remember but big and nice). But, if you have already bought it, the screen it's not the most important...can't you return it to the shop, if it's new?
If you are unsure now that is new, you should definitely go for one that you like everything about - otherwise you are going to end up selling it in a short time.

Mine's 17" widescreen, but it's a laptop and they don't come much bigger. My (ancient) desktop monitor is 19".

Mine is 19 inches. Flat screen. I love it. You should get a bigger one.

14" screens on normal PC's are far too small nowadays and even Health & Safety state that they are too small for everyday use. But I understand that normal stand alone large monitors can be hoooked up to your lap top ... have you thought of exploring that avenue?

If it is a laptop, OK (compact for carrying!). But for a desk top - yeah! Go bigger!
