There is not enough space here for me to tell about every time I ignored "that little voice" and had an adverse consequence. Funny that no mater how many times we are told to "trust your gut instinct", and based on past experiences know we should, we shun that advice and give the other person the benefit of the doubt, forge ahead through a situation from which we should withdraw, or vice versa. We do this because it satisfies our need to hope, without which we could not bear to exist.

I always listen to my instincts. That's because I am an instinctual type (regarding the three personality types - instinctual (gut), mental (head) and emotional (heart)). If I don't listen to my gut I have no idea what to do. My head or heart never tell me what to do. Just my gut. Even when I'm drunk. If something doesn't feel right, I don't do it. It's not like a little voice. It's like a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach, and bit of a shiver in my shoulders and arms. It's difficult to put it into words, but I trust it, and it hasn't let me down so far.

No, because listening saved my life twice. Once flying, I was about to make an approach to a small field and a voice in my head said "turn right". I did and found out there was an airplane behind me who hadn't seen me. We would have crashed. Another time I was driving north and got a feeling to really slow down. Coming around a blind curve, there was a wreck. I was able to stop in time.

Yes, I did once and I got burned for it. I went to a meeting and left my car parked under a bridge, and there was a guy just hanging around there and making marks in the sand/dirt with his foot. He kept his head down. My instincts told me to move my car, but I reverted to my naivete' (sp.?) and left my car there. What happened? I came out of the meeting to find a broken window and a stereo missing!
