I hope you mean "bleeding", not "breeding" !!

If your wife is having pain while breastfeeding, then the baby is probably not latching on properly. She should seek the help of a lactation consultant, or even better, La Leche League (free). I put a link at the bottom for you to find your local LLL.

A woman should never be in pain while breastfeeding, and if she is, then there is a problem that needs to be fixed before it gets worse. In the beginning, this is typically a latching-on problem. It takes some practice and patience for some mothers and babies to get the latch correct in the beginning. It always helped me to pinch the nipple a little between two fingers (behind the areola, not near the tip), and then aim the baby for the nipple while his mouth is open wide. Sometimes I would push down on his chin to try to get him to open his mouth wider before aiming for the back of his mouth with the nipple. Also, try to bring the baby to the nipple, not the other way around. I put some more links at the bottom about identifying a good latch. I hope this helps!

JUST RELAX RELAX RELAX...everything is normal and is fine..her colostrum is enough for baby..and her milk will come in..and yes it is painful, try cold cabbage leaves and use LANSINOH LANOLIN at the first sign of nipple soreness...don't measure how much milk you have by pumping, the pump is not as efficient as a baby...AND MOST IMPORTANT:DON'T GIVE UP, SHE CAN DO IT...TELL HER TO TRUST HER BODY
