Vacuoles can be thought of as a storage place for food, or for wastes. One kind of vacuole might be thought of as a trash bin or waste basket that you put discarded items in until time to remove them from your room or house. Another might be like a shopping bag that you carry groceries into your house. Once emptied, the vacuole (grocery bag) might be used as a waste container.

The nucleus is the organizer and boss of the cell. You could draw an analogy to the director of a play, a supervisor of a work crew or the instructor in a classroom who is responsible for work being done in an orderly and timely fashion. The nucleus also is in charge of the project and sends messengers to deliver instruction as to how to formulate materials. I prefer the supervisor analogy but you can expand on any of the suggestions.

Vacuoles are membrane-bound compartments within some eukaryotic cells that can serve a variety of secretory, excretory, and storage functions. Vacuoles and their contents are considered to be distinct from the cytoplasm, and are classified as ergastic according to some authors.[1] Vacuoles are especially conspicuous in most plant cells.

In general, vacuole functions include

Removing unwanted structural debris
Isolating materials that might be harmful to the cell
Containing waste products
Maintaining internal hydrostatic pressure or turgor within the cell
Maintaining an acidic internal pH
Containing small molecules
Exporting unwanted substances from the cell.
Enabling the cell to change shape

the nucleus (pl. nuclei; from Latin nucleus or nuculeus, kernel) is a membrane-enclosed organelle found in most eukaryotic cells. It contains most of the cell's genetic material, organized as multiple long linear DNA molecules in complex with a large variety of proteins such as histones to form chromosomes. The genes within these chromosomes make up the cell's nuclear genome. The function of the nucleus is to maintain the integrity of these genes and to control the activities of the cell by regulating gene expression

okay so the vacuole is used for storage and the nucleus controls everything so..... how about.....

vacuole is to nucleus as the attic is to a house.
get it? cause the attic is the room ppl use for storage!
hmm leemme think....

vacuole is to nucleus as refridgerater is to kitchen.
cause in the refridgerator you store all your food! get it?

hah sorry. these suck.
