of sending violations notices? I picture a stern woman, in a masculine suit, with her hair in a tight bun, large glasses perched on her upturned nose, mashing the VIOLATE notice with a perfectly manicured fingernail, while pursing her lips tightly and with an air of outrage at the audacity of the person she is violating. Whats your mental picture of this job?

There are people on this site who will report others out of pure spite

incidentally, can I please ask EVERYONE to complain about Violations when they are not warranted.?
A lot of people have been deleted recently after working very hard to get up to a level where they can ask and answer unlimited.

If you get violated for something that is NOT even close to being offensive, please report it with the email header "harassment by another user" and state that you do not deserve this violation. Say that it is harassment and you want the matter investigated and the REPORTERS account suspended.

I will be reporting EVERY one from now on

Lets stop the mindless yobs destroying our work

Just one point though. If you deserve the Violation - take it on the chin !

WOW....you should be a writer if you aren't already !!!
But I picture a computer running the show,'cause there is no way a thinking being could hand out some of the ridiculous violations I've got. Common sense would normally prevent them, but a computer has none of that.
But the mental picture you created was great !!

I picture late teens and early twenty somethings doing that, and amusing each other with the silliest violations.

Considering this is the internet, the stern woman in her 60s ..librarian image..doesn't apply anymore.
