I'm a prep but alot of people under estimate me i'm in all advanced classes and i'm really smart well obviously but people think b/c i'm preppy i'm an annoying and stuck up person but i'm actualy very down to earth and i'm not going to change for some people to like me b/c i already have like a ton of really good friends.but i just wanted to know if you thought preps were annoying b/c i just want to know why they thyink that??

Many of the young people your age will be jealous of you, and you could be displaying an attitude to others that you are better than they are. Try to help others who are not as fortunate as you, i.e. coaching, mentoring, and tutoring. By helping others, you will hone your skills even more, which will help you when you are older.
Word of advice--learn to write properly and check your spelling. You indicate you are smart, but your writing does not support it.

I am the kind of person who normally scorns preppiness, but in this case I sort of understand. There is a difference between being a prep and a snob. Not all preps have to be dumb either. That is a totally common stereotype. Being a sort of rebel, I have to put up with all these stereotypes that I think I'm better than everyone else and I am just looking for attention. You should be able to be whoever you want without feeling that people are judging you.

Well in my school its like the lower class people cant talk to the preppy people. Yes I don't care for them, but then No cuz I don't have some friends has preps and A LOT of my cousins are preps. What the worse thing is that my older brother is a prep!!! So I cant really say I like them then again I cant say I hate them. Matters how they act.

Preps aren't annoying. But like most every other type of people some can be annoying. Preps set higher standerds I believe, and sometimes it just annoys people...a bit. PROVE that your'e a down-to-earth person. If you don't like being pictured as stuck up just don't insult,critisize, or act like a smart-***. I was very good in school but I just stuck to being modest. And other people like modest people. THAT is how you can prove that you are down to earth. Preps were not the worst in school. There was always jocks,nerds,bullys,goths,the "popular rich kids", and others. But preps are just another one on that list I made. Some are nice,others are not.

its not preppy that is annoying its when people think that they are better than other people..preps kinda have a rep for that. If that doesnt apply to you dont worry about it, if it does- make some changes thinking you are better than other people will not go well in life!

I don't like people just because they are intelligent. I like people for their personality and character. If you go around acting superior to other people because you think you are smarter,then you would be annoying. I know a lot of smart people,but they also have enough sense to act friendly and nice to everyone. Being intelligent is a gift from God to be used wisely.
