There are many places you could visit in Malaysia. If you enjoy city sight seeing and not really bother about traffic jam stay in Kuala Lumpur where you can visit Petronas Twin Towers, National Museum, National Planetarium and some modern shopping complexes and cinemas. If you choose to relax and having a romantic walk kind of thing with your lover you may choose Langkawi island. From Kuala Lumpur you can take an hour flight ( recommend Air Asia for cheap ticket ) direct to Langkawi. Or else if you wish to experience holiday in hilly area you may choose Genting Highland. There are frequent busses and taxis travel from Kuala Lumpur to Genting Highland everyday.
If you are from oversea, I advised that once you arrived KLIA you go straight to tourist information counter at the airport and grab visit Malaysia 2007 brochures.
Do not shy to ask...Malaysian are friendly. Enjoy your holiday..

Where in Malaysia? Well, you should definitely go to Kuala Lumpur at night-- it's beautiful; while you are there make sure to see the Petronas Twin Towers (not like you can miss them, they're the tallest in the world, i think). Check out the historical sights like, Parliament and the high court. But, most of all, go on a trip to Kota Tinggi Waterfalls in Johor/ Lombong-- it's romantic and downright unbelievable. They are the one thing I miss the most about Malaysia! By the way, all of these places are easy to get to if you A) rent a vehicle B) take a tour / private taxi C) walk (if you're close enough)
Hope you have fun!

Not sure if your lover is a man or lady but I', sure there's a lot of things for both of you to see and do here in Malaysia.besides the normal beaches ,islands, shopping there are also companies here that deals wth eco-tourism.You can check them out. There's a suggestion though, if you want see some jungle trkking, white river rafting and probably look and enjoy the beautiful jungle scenery you should try visit Sg.Sedim Tree Top Walk.It is in Kulim in Kedah,Not that far from Penang. It is purportedly the longest Canopy walk in the world and you can stay there if you want. You may make contact the resort operators through their website www.topwalk.com.my for imformation and questions.

Atcually the best thing is to hook up with some local friends and they will show you the real malaysia (avoid the tourist places), furthermore you might even get free transport.
Avoid anything out of Kuala Lumpur except for the beach resorts.

Kuala Lumpur - for the petronas towers and nightlights of the city, good food
Melaka - for the historic side of Malaysia, church, great food
Genting Highlands - for its cool weather and outdoor theme park, great place to relax too
Kuantan - for nice beaches and perhaps good sunrise on one of the mountains
All these places are accessible by buses in Malaysia itself hence no worries. Enjoy!!
