When I was in labor i walked my neighbourhood many times until the contractions were 5 minutes apart. Everyone said that walking will speed things up. When i got to the hospital I walked the halls for hours. 23 hours later i finally had a baby. I'm not too sure if the walking speeds it up or not but it was better than laying in the hospital bed for that long

First thing is different things work for different people so I dont want to discourage you at all, when I was pregnate with my son I went to the track every morning and walked an hour EVERY MORNING and it didnt help at all and I did that for the last 3 months of my pregnancy. But you can try and see if it works for you it sure wont hurt anything, and walking is always good for your health. GOOD LUCK

The nurses made me do this with pregnancy #2. I found this did nothing but made me tired and cranky. I went back to my room and laid down.
Needless to say, I had to chase the nurse out of my room when she came in and said, "You are suppose to be walking." I told her that my son would be born before dinner time, even without my walking. Guess who was right?

With my first I walked for hours and it didnt help any but when I started walkign up and down teh stairs things started movign pretty fast. With my secodn I only walked to calm myself lol
I think the stairs helped more because my first had her head nestled into my hip and havgin teh up and down motion involve my hips instead of just my legs rocked her intop proper position better.

it didn't help a darn bit for me. Some doctors say it will, some say it wont. I would just walk on a flat maybe a slight incline, don't tire yourself out bye doing strenuous walking.
