did he have insurance on the building that will pay you? if so get a lawyer don't settle for small amount, they will try to get you to sign a paper DON"T .you may have to sue his insurance Co. let the lawyer do the talking.. and if he don't have insurance SUE SUE SUE the pants right off him..

OH WOW YOU HAVE A CASE THAT IS A WINNER. YOU CAN SUE HIM AND ALSO IF THE ORIGINAL HOME OWNER LISTED THE HOME AS ABSOLUTELY FLAWLESS YOU CAN ALSO SUE THEIR INSURANCE COMPANY. WAS HE THERE WITH YOU WHEN YOU FELL THRU?
