did he have insurance on the building that will pay you? if so get a lawyer don't settle for small amount, they will try to get you to sign a paper DON"T .you may have to sue his insurance Co. let the lawyer do the talking.. and if he don't have insurance SUE SUE SUE the pants right off him..
