I go there every year around that time. It's hot and humid and because of the high humidity, it will lead to rain. I say it would rain maybe 1-3 days a week.

It will be raining then, but don't let that ruin your journey. It normally rains cats and dogs for an hour or so and then lets up. The weather will be alternating between hot and wet. If you're lucky you might even catch a Typhoon - an exciting experience!

Expect the temp to be around 27 - 32 in the day and 24 - 30 at night.

It is that hot... unless you're planning to stay in-doors.

It's not THAT hot in May. Bring or buy a folding umbrella. you shouldn't need a jacket unless you're planning to go to the mountains. In May it's still not very hot, and the rainy (thunderstorm) weather is just on the verge of starting, so you picked a good time.
