I doubt it. The world is a different place from the days of the British Empire. In any case the Americans have had a long history of protecting their interests and that of the dollar.

Empire is in communication. Remember the saying, all roads lead to Rome. In the days of the British Empire, it was railways and telegraphy. Today it is in satellites and the world wide web.

But the basic politics is different. Then it was a case of my country right or wrong. Now democracy is much stronger. It is virtually impossible to be a politician and a pacifist, and if you win at war, then there is bound to be some exchange of culture.

I don't know where you're getting your advice, but it doesn't seem to be Britain, those guys couldn't care less about religion when they had their empire.

This is a different kind of imperialism, it's more like the one the spaniards had on the new world.

The missionaries go first and set an excuse to your society for invading a country that vests an economic interest to the US. The British were totally open about that when they invaded, the US aren't.

You only have to look at George Bush and you realise that America is in serious decline if this is the best they have to offer.

As for christianity this primitive mumbo jumbo has been in decline for centuries and will continue this trait as people become better educated and science explains more and more of the mysteries of the universe.

RIP God and RIP America!

Looks like it. What they don't realise that all this religious stuff is promulgated and kept up by the top people for their own ends. For example. Poor is best (to get into heaven?) Queen, president, church leaders? ALL rich!
