Heidi, i think a great many of us feel that our electoral choices have gotten distracted from the public's expectations.

It seems like there is an 'electorate-conformity' that takes place once they are entrenched in office.

We try convincing one another the people we voted for are the best candidate for the 'job', ..and we become disillusioned because they are trying to serve a generic cross section of public opinions.

'Government' eats personal interests to survive..some voters are ecstatic, some are happy, some are content, some are satisfied, and some are disappointed.
Some are angry, some are resentful, and some are wounded.

When there is contention in our government like there is today, it is a good indication that somethig 'systematic' is out of sync, broaken, malfunctioning, changeing, or ignored.

In the end, we each are responsible for our vote. We each made our 'choice' on the information we chose to consider pryor to voteing. And it gets hard later on, to realize we might have chosen poorly.

Voteing is a learning process. We [hopefully] improve as we get more experianced and synical and informed.

Yes. We do...feel that way.

If you like them you have to trust them to do the right thing. I don't know why you don't trust your Government unless you have been personally effected by there decision.
