Yes he is running for Presidency in France.

I began more closely following French politics while working as an investment analyst in London a couple years ago. Sarkozy was at the time pushing for reform in the food retail sector.
Sarkozy strikes me as a decisive leader with good ideas for solving some of the issues facing France today. His call for economic reform and his strong stance on crime are especially positive, in my opinion. If I were French, I would mostly likely vote for him. (I'm an American, by the way.)
