I am a little concerned that I may have done something stupid. I subsitute teach and one of my students whoose boss is a chiropractor asked if I would like my neck cracked. I told him sure why not, not thinking about.

My neck felt 100% better afterwards and has been feeling great this whole week. I can't remember when my neck felt this limber. I have had my neck bother me for years and I think this is from wrestiling.

I found out online that neck manipulation can increase your risk of stroke, especially if not done by an expert, this was a high school senior who did this.

Should I be concerned about getting a stroke?

You should only let a licenced chiropractor adjust your neck. There is very little risk if done properly. I have my neck adjusted by a chiropractor on a regular basis & am not concerned about the risk for stroke as it is very very very rare (and when it has happened it is because the person was already at risk because of their health history).

If you were going to have a stroke from that particular adjustment you would have had it already.

No u should not be concerned. The stroke danger is valid while u are being massaged only. There are two arteries that carry blood to your brain and if they are blocked or manipulated then there is danger of stroke. Thats my personal opinion but i think is logical.

this is so like any health warning for eg side affects on medicine packets etc etc although it may well increase the risk i think youll find that on a scale of 1 to 1000 you being at 1 before the neck thing, you are prob now at 2 at tghe most!!!
