My {E} disk dive is full, how can i empty it?

it says my e drive is full please delete files?
my disk clean up isnt working either
any instructions on how to help?

Delete some files from it. If it doesn't work, try with a command in an MS-DOS environment.

Assuming windows

go to Start->Run and type "explorer"

hit the plus sign next to My Computer
hit the plus sign next to E:/

select the folder most appropriate for possibly containing old files.

Delete things you know precisely the origin, purpose and use of. Make sure that these are files you want to get rid of.

Other assumptions:
Since something like 30% of the traffic on the internet these days is in illegal file sharing, I have another option for you. If you've been downloading movies and software through Bittorrents and File sharing software, the programs that do this often reserve space for the total file before all of it is downloaded. If you have a Bittorrent directory here or similar directory, go through and delete the partial files you have cluttering your incoming folder. while it will stop your progress on these instances, it will clear up some space.

Finally, once you have some space to deal with, organize your files into some folders, and then use the compression Windows gave you to condense some of your folders you don't use anymore. Right click on a folder and select the compressed icon from the list of options. Then delete the uncompressed folder, after you've checked the validity of your zips.

format the drive by clicking the right side button of the mouse when placed on the drive
