I am British. I voted for my prime minister before the attacks on iraq and in the next election i voted for a different party. I am proud of my country and a majority of the people of britain did not want to go to "war", so why should i support a government that does not represent the people?

I feel the same way. I've been posting this answer quite often.
Stand up America! It’s time to support the good men and women of the United States Military! The time is long overdue for a radical protest against the filth and corruption that has infested the United States Government. This is about the lies of 911, the illegal war in Iraq and bringing our troops home to their loved ones. If you are a true American Patriot you will join in and become a part of this wonderful event that is about to take place.

The U.S. antiwar movement and the impeachment movement are becoming entwined, just in time for the March 17 rally at the Pentagon. Here’s the best part! You don’t have to travel all the way to D.C. to perform your Patriotic Duty to America. There will be hundreds of Anti-War protest happening across the Nation. I support our troops 100% and it’s time to bring them home.

As Americans it is time to make our stand to protect the Constitution and Fundamentals of what this Great Country was founded on.

I encourage everyone to copy and paste this information and post it as often as you can until the March 17 protest begins.

Thank you...together we can make a difference... happy protesting!

The majority of people of the UK didn't want to go to war in Iraq, that leaves a minority thinking the rest of us are unpatriotic, we all know that the majority counts. Enough said!!

People think that just because you have your own opinion and you disagree with the president it makes you unpatriotic. It doesn't help matters any that the president himself says people who speak out against the war are traitors.

I myself do not agree with the war, I support the troops and wish all of them a safe return even though I know it will never happen. Just because I have my own opinion and don't believe everything that is aired on TV or printed in newspapers, that doesn't make me unpatriotic. I love this country, it is such an incredibly diverse place filled with good, honest, sincere people. Don't let the bad apples spoil the bunch or get your morale down with their hateful rants.

I don't think the leadership thinks it's unpatriotic. They're removing the troops before the job is finished regardless of the fact that they said it was a job that needed to be done.

Because most liberals are bascially hypocrites and liars. They guise themselves as anti war but support the troops. Their true agenda is to bash Bush, republicans and military at all costs... In their utopia, the US Government would be socialistic with limited military and distribution of wealth. They are basically spoiled little brats abusing the constitution to further their agenda of hate. Yes, they hate anyone who disagrees with their point of view.

Can you tell us which party you voted for in 2005? I'd be fascinated to find out.

dear hannah,

its good to see americans against war. the whole world looks upon america these days not as the country of unlimited opportunity, but the bully on the global block.

george bush should take a word of advice my grandmother gave me - if people fear you, it does not mean they respect you.

people fear george bush because he is too quick to call in the troops.

perhaps he should go back to "president school" and learn a thing or two from nelson mandela, one of the greatest leaders ever.

to answer your question - no, you are not unpatriotic. vote for someone else if you dont like your president.

They say it's unpatriotic because they think you have to agree with everything the government says.

The underlying question is do you support your country and its troops and hope for their victory? If you hope your country and troops will lose, you are unpatriotic. If you work so that your country and its troops will lose, you're a traitor.
